Urban turbine must overcome plenty of resistance

"Urban turbine must overcome plenty of resistance" is on the front page of todays World Herald. I think that any effort toward green energy is extremely important. It is frustrating that some people would oppose efforts to lessen our dependence on fossil fuel. If they think a turbine is unappealing, wait until they see the results of climate change. I hope the city updates the plans so that we can help protect the environment.

  2. I agree. Environmentally speaking, if we continue to put our needs at present before our concerns for the future, we will be unable to undo our damages. I think our city is far behind many others in the effort to "go green". For example, Rockport, Missouri is capable of running on 100% wind power with the help of a four-turbine wind farm. Looking at this example, I think we should be able to allow one person use of a wind turbine, no matter how disruptive or visually unappealing it is.
