Downtown Ballpark (Mixed Emotions)

Today in the Omaha World Herald an article explained the progress of the $128 million new ballpark project. I don't know exactly how to say this, and I'm going to make this short, but I believe Omaha has bigger projects that require attention... instead of a ballpark. Maybe we need to double check our priorities.

  2. Honestly, I think the new ballpark is a huge waste of money. Along with holding a tremendous amount of Omaha's history, Rosenblatt Stadium was perfectly fine. Sure, it was a little old and run down but that doesn't condone spending $128 million on a brand new stadium when that money could be put towards things of much greater importance. Additionally, parking downtown is bad enough. Why do officials think a stadium right next to the Qwest Center will improve that?
