Chihuahuas Take over California Breeding scene

After popular movies like "Legally Blonde" and "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" made chihuahuas fashionable, irresponsible breeders moved in, taking advantage of the trend. Factors like the recession, and the questionable health and quality of dog from puppy mills resulted in abandonment. California shelters are full of the neglected animals, which is bad for responsible breeders, shelters, and the dogs themselves.
