Massachusetts

Again, it's the lack of awareness that bothers me. It doesn't matter who you support. The elections in Massachusetts yesterday led to the win of Republican Scott Brown, who will fill the Senate seat last occupied by Ted Kennedy for six decades. The last time a Republican held a Massachusetts Senate seat, we were not alive, and Barack Obama was 11 years old.
Even before the results came in, this election was a big deal. This is a big deal. This is a decision that will have a tremendous effect on how our future plays out, how this time will be written about in the future U.S. History textbooks. We should all care, and we should all be aware of what's going on in our country.

  1. This makes me angry. I really love democrats and would be happy if they owned every senate seat. But now they can't. Argh.
