Here to stay?

I understand that along with winter comes snow and cold temps. But really? Does it have to span from as early as October to March? If these below or near freezing temperatures continue into spring, I will be very angry. Trust me, if I could, I would gladly go to California, Florida or even Texas. Anywhere to get away from this ice and snow. Even people at the Olympics in Canada are warmer than we are here in Nebraska. The bottom line: Winter needs to leave town, or I will.
