Social Networking

As discussed in the Sunday World-Herald, social networking is a Brave New World that has many pitfalls. Besides the lack of face-to-face interaction, people hooked on texting, Twitter and Facebook too often seem oblivious to the ramifications of posting something that worldwide web consumers might see. Thus, we have athletes posting whiney messages about playing time, teenagers posting violent messages and general consumers posting inane comments about ordinary stuff that no one else should care about. I'm still not confident all the advances in technology have made the world a better place.
