ash clouds everywhere

Europe has had some trouble this week decided whether or not it's safe to fly. A volcanic eruption caused numerous ash clouds that spread for miles making it tricky for pilots to see where a safe landing is. Airports are filled with people waiting — some spending numerous nights there because they can't afford a hotel — to go home.
