Lawless Juarez

The situation in the boarder city of Juarez in Mexico is worsening. People are afraid to go out at night, and at stop lights nobody looks at other cars for fear of annoying a gang member. The city is probably the most dangerous city outside of a war zone in the world. Those who are able have long left, leaving as many as 30,000 abandoned houses in the city. An average of 7 people are murdered every day. The reason behind this violence is the attempted crackdown of the drug and narcotic cartels operating in the city by regular Mexican soldiers.
