"Senior" Label Needs a Change
I think it's awesome that the label of "senior" and "senior citizen" is facing some opposition. I've never liked the sound of those words as a label for a group of people. It makes those over the age of 60 sound incapable of doing anything but sitting in a home for other seniors and playing cards all day. But today, that isn't true. A large portion of the population is over the age of 60, and a lot of them haven't even retired yet. People should respect their elders, and calling them senior citizens is not the way to do it.
