RIP Benjamin Hooks
Civil rights leader Benjamin Hooks, died Thursday in Memphis at the age of 85. Hooks was the NAACP's executive director since 1977. By that time, the NAACP was facing some serious issues with debt and membership. By the time he stepped down in 1992, he had revitalized the NAACP back into prominence. Nicely done Benjamin, it's a real shame you're dead.
