So apparently Nebraska may become the home of a pro-football team. But their mascot is a Tusker. I was not sure what a tusker was so I researched it. According to the dictionary, A tusker is:"Any mammal with prominent tusks." In the case of the Florida Tuskers, a Tusker is a boar.
My guess is that they're referencing the Wooly Mammoth, the state fossil of Nebraska.
